Got a Problem, can offer some help

Ignition Timing SBC

Just wondering if anyone has any knowledge on what to set the ignition timing to on a small block chev. i googled it and the couple i read had that many different opions it was ridculous. at the moment i set it to 7degress before tdc at idle with vacum advance blocked off. not sure if i kike there may need to be advaced a little more.
specs are:
350 010 block at 60 thou
cast iron vortec heads
scat 383 stroker kit
speed flow hyperetic pistons taflon skirts
11.1-1 compresion
crane blue racer cam 260 degrees duration rev range 2800-5800
750 mighty demon mechinacal seconderys
dual plane air gap manifold

any info qwould be very help full cheers chris

Set it higher Chris - maybe 10 for now and see how that goes.
It's not as easy as using a number from a book with your combo.
A keen ear will get it closer to being right.
Just keep an eye on it - dont let it ping too much with that compression
